What could it be?

I found a new treasure at the thrift store and I just had to share. I am not entirely sure what I am going to do with it, but I am sure I will come up with some plan. I was sort of thinking a shelf in the laundry room/bathroom, but first I need to do something with it. As it is, it is pretty much ugly! So anything thoughts on what this could become? Or what it once was?

Don’t you just love the sage green and cream color of this piece? It really screams 1990′s to me, but not for long. The spray paint will be making a comeback and this little treasure will be pretty once more. But, you will have to wait until tomorrow or the next day to see it!

If you know me at all, you know that some times my ADD gets the best of me and I have a hard time finishing or continuing projects. But at least I can admit it, right?

It’s Wednesday and for some reason Wednesday always feels like the day that you just need a little jump start. The week is half way over and I always start thinking about the weekend ahead. I am thinking Wednesdays might be a good day for inspiration and maybe, just, maybe the inspirations will give me the nudge to get something accomplished on the weekends. Or in the case that I have had a busy week, maybe they will inspire me to relax a bit.

Inspiration #1: This blogger bought the dresser above at Goodwill and transformed it into the the desk below. Amazing what a little paint, new hardware and some elbow grease can do. This inspires me because I am going to look at some vintage dressers for my son’s room and want to paint them as well. The old and unwanted becomes new again!


This after picture is so awesome! Almost can’t believe it is the same dresser! Inspiration #2: Looking at these 2 old end tables, most people would think they were just ugly and they really are!!! But look what Brooke at All Things Thrifty did with them! From ugly and old to gorgeous! Simply beautiful!!! I would love to have these in my house! What in inspiring post!! Makes me want to go home and paint some furniture!
