My brain has been in so many different places over the last several months and all of the sudden, I feel like I have brain fog. I am having a really difficult time coming up with things to say and I just all around don’t have much to say. I keep thinking that one of these days I am going to come up with something really interesting to blog about, but then I sit down to write and my brain fogs up and I can’t come up with anything. Guess that must be the case for a while after your life settles down a bit after a really stressful time.
I do know however that it is time to do a major purge of our stuff again. I thought I had done a pretty good job of getting rid of stuff when I went through everything this summer, but I guess it is not enough. I figure over the course of the summer that I was able to get rid of about 1/4 of our goods, but I guess when you figure we were going from 3200 square feet plus a double garage and massive storage shed to 1500 square feet with no storage and a single garage, the math equation doesn’t add up. So the process begins again. This time, I will make it a goal to get rid of another 1/4 of our stuff. Hopefully in the end, I will be able to have most everything we own in the house and not in boxes in the garage.
I guess I figure if we are going to be in this house a while, it is silly to hold on to so much stuff. Might as well get rid of it and let someone else use it. I hate the idea of stuff being boxed up and stored away. That was why I got rid of Luke’s baby stuff so quickly after he was born. I wanted someone to be able to use them and not just sit there.
Anyway, I have a large pile of thrift store goods in my garage that will be going there tomorrow. After that, I will go through more boxes and get rid of more stuff. I hope it helps. It is really hard for me to get rid of some things, but I feel like there really is not much choice at this point. So here goes nothing. Let the purging begin (again!).
